K. Thor Jensen

K Thor Jensen

K. Thor Jensen is an Internet Troll. He is also an author, blogger, cartoonist  and political commentator. Though he does maintain Facebook and Instagram accounts, it’s on Twitter where he publishes his crass, obnoxious, acidic and childish rants. It’s not his political opinions that make him a troll but rather his vitriol, abusive use of profanity and crass disparagements of anyone disagreeing with his views.

He is disinterested in civil discourse, choosing instead to subject his detractors to  obscenities and a slew of vulgar aspersions. In lieu of intelligent exchanges, K. Thor Jensen barrages his targets (actually his victims) with personal attacks about their intellect, their opinions and even their physical appearance. Inarguably, he’s imbued with the same  unrestrained emotional issues, insecurities, cries for attention, and need to subjugate & disparage others found in many other run-of-the-mill trolls like himself.

The following posts were all authored by Mr. Jennings and have not been altered. His hate-laced commentaries overshadow the subjects he is responding to. His posts do not require dissection or analysis as they are sufficient proof of who K. Thor Jennings is.

K Thor Jensen The Best and Brightest

Is K. Thor Jensen an example of the “best and brightest?”

Disparaging a Child

K. Thor Jensen has tweeted that his wife and children are off-limits to his critics. As shown below, he has absolutely no qualms in leveling unclever & unfunny quips at Barron Trump who unlike K. Thor Jensen, is a real child.

Barron Trump

K. Thor Jensen would never want his children targeted in quips demeaning them though hypocritically, he has no qualms mocking the son of a President whose politics he detests. Like all trolls, his mockeries are off target.

K. Thor Jensen: The Sensitive Author

K. Thor Jensen is a published author. You can find a list of his books for sale on Amazon.com. Shown below is an image of the cover to his latest book, Cloud Stories.

An excerpt from Publishers Weekly admittedly describes K. Thor Jensen as talented cartoonist (a matter of opinion) but describes Cloud Stories as “… this collection doesn’t have a unifying element (beside clouds), and some stories evaporate before they take shape, despite Jensen’s obvious skills as a cartoonist.” To be fair, the book is about becoming a cloud.

K Thor Jensen Cloud Stories

On 10/07/17, K. Thor Jensen posted a copy of a negative review of his book, on his Twitter feed. According K. Thor Jensen, the review was written by someone he angered on Twitter. He mocked the review and laughingly brushed it aside, minimizing its importance. The apparently emotionally frail author contacted Amazon, refuting the  review as an act of malice and Amazon conceded and removed the critique which no longer appears on their site. Fortunately, K. Thor Jensen is insecure and narcissistic and could not refrain from retaining the negative review on his Twitter feed. Here is that review.

Book Review

We did notice that between 10/07/2017 and 10/08/2018, the percentage of people disliking his book dropped from 42% to 39%. Might the not-so-well put together Mr. Jensen have something to do with the sudden surge in additional positive reviews?

Customer Reviews

Apparently, there were several other people who also found K. Thor Jensen’s book “terrible”, “not funny”, “flat and dull”, forgettable, “repetitive”, “boring”, “stupid” and apparently, a “waste of money.” As shown below, not everyone reading K. Thor Jensen’s book that it was worth the $20 paid for its purchase.

Amazon Reviews: Cloud Stories

Review 1

How about no? No means no

“I can’t begin to describe how terrible this book is. I got 40 pages in and could not stand it anymore. It’s not funny, everything in this book is familiar if you know what I mean. It’s just terrible. It’s like a bad film student project in written form. Avoid it at all costs.” – VS

Review 2

One Star

“Very flat and dull. Don’t really feel anything reading it and after I finished I quickly forgot about it.” – Ryan Grahf

Review 3

Utterly Boring, Bland

“Yuck- the author seems more suited for bullying people on Twitter than publishing. Utterly boring, bland and repetitive. Save your money.” – Rupert Reviewdock

Review 4

Boring, dumb. Waste of Time

“A truly uninspired effort, boring. Then again, what would you expect from a book about clouds.” – Mary S. Reynolds

Review 5

Rubbish

“Cloud stories, one of the worst most stupid books in the world, is a piece of **** that should never have seen the light of day.” – The Wizard of Oz

 Review 6

Don’t waste your money on this garbage

“Don’t waste your money on this garbage- got as a gift and was the worst book I’ve ever read… winter ca’t come soon enough next year so I can burn it.” – Amazon Customer

Review 7

One Star

“Do not waste your money buying this or your time reading this.” – Amazon Customer

K. Thor Jensen declares that all of the negative reviews were posted by people not purchasing his book yet he only succeeded in removing one review. Not exactly a win-win, is it? Delusions of grandeur, perhaps?

Memoir:  A Bitter Root

K. Thor Jensen impugned the people who criticized Cloud Stories but apparently, some of his previously published books have also elicited negative reviews and in Red Eye, Black Eye, negative critiques about that book range from pointless to boring.  Red Eye, Black Eye is a memoir of K. Thor Jensen’s journey from New York following 9/11.

K. Thor Jensen couldn’t even make himself  likeable in his own memoir.

Book 1 Review 5

K. Thor Jensen has admitted that as a teenager, he indulged in comic pornography. Could this have numbed him to the insidiousness of rape?

Book 1 Review 7

How anyone reacts to writing or art is purely subjective but K. Thor Jensen’s books (and his art) seem to elicit very similar reactions from people who find his creations uninteresting, pointless and simplistic.

Disingenuous Empathy & In Desperate Need of a Mirror

In a single tweet, he simultaneously decries the murders in Las Vegas & impugns those he hates. Conflicted or hypocrite? “Two doughy morons?” Does this pasty & unattractive troll own a mirror?

Auto Biography

Churning Out Stereotypes

K. Thor Jensen is a self-appointed social justice warrior with an admitted penchant for pornography. As shown below, he is obsessed with profiling people. Unfortunately, his efforts amount to nothing more than projecting his obsessions, proclivities and hate on to those he abhors.

In his tweet about people who defend the NRA, K. Thor Jensen didn’t feel a need to prove that ALL people defending the NRA are “basically the same dudes who thirst tweet endlessly at porn stars.” Hypocritically, he admits (please refer to “In His Own Words”, above) that as a “teen”, he was exposed to pornographic comics and evidently went through these voraciously. He is assuming ALL people who support the NRA share his same insatiable obsession.

Conclusion

K. Thor Jensen’s posts are not intended to enlighten, create discourse or help derive solutions to the issues he viciously responds to. His posts are never accompanied by evidence, relegating his obnoxious and vulgar squeals to personal opinion. And apparently, his purpose for publishing scathing commentaries is to instill shock, berate, and create discord.

The only thing accomplished by K. Thor Jensen’s incessant vitriol is that he wastes the time of readers, exposing them to the embittered ramblings of a frustrated, hypocritical and classless troll. If there had ever been a noble purpose underlying his rants and howls, it was lost long ago when he became a slave to his loathing of people who find his tiring  maliciousness, polarizing. Or maybe this is all just a desperate cry for help.

The next post will be published on 11/08/2017.
